Basis Industrial has expanded its executive leadership team as the company continues to scale its national portfolio and position the organization for its next phase of growth.

Anthony Scavo has assumed the role of CEO and managing partner, while Nisha Patel has joined Basis Industrial as chief operating officer. The leadership appointments come as Basis Industrial has grown to more than 10 million square feet of multi-tenant industrial and self-storage assets nationwide, with an additional 2 million to 3 million square feet expected by the end of 2026.

As CEO and managing partner, Scavo will continue to lead Basis Industrial’s overall vision, investment strategy and long-term growth initiatives while overseeing the executive leadership team. The addition of a COO further strengthens the company’s operational structure and allows Scavo to focus on acquisitions, new verticals and strategic growth opportunities.

As COO, Patel now leads Basis Industrial’s day-to-day operational execution across its expanding national portfolio. Her responsibilities include oversight of asset management, property management and legal, helping strengthen the infrastructure and collaboration needed to support the company’s continued expansion.

Patel brings nearly 20 years of commercial real estate leadership experience to Basis Industrial. Prior to joining the company, she served as COO of Levin Management Corporation, where she oversaw day-to-day operations for the commercial real estate owner and operator. She previously served as head of asset management and dispositions at Essential Properties Realty Trust, overseeing a $6 billion retail portfolio comprising more than 20 million square feet nationwide.

Earlier in her career, Patel spent more than 10 years at PGIM Real Estate in a variety of roles spanning acquisitions and asset management. Her experience across acquisitions, asset management, operations and strategic execution adds significant depth to Basis Industrial’s leadership team as the company continues to grow nationally.

The leadership changes also formalize Basis Industrial’s executive governance structure. Daniel Weinstein serves as founder, chairman of the advisory board and investment committee member. Jay Massirman and Stephen Garchik serve as co-chairmen of the advisory board and investment committee members, while Aubrey Strul serves as a member of the advisory board.

Together, the expanded leadership team will support Basis Industrial’s continued acquisition and development strategy while strengthening the operational platform behind its growing portfolio.

Basis Industrial currently owns more than 10 million square feet of self-storage and multi-tenant industrial real estate, with an additional 2 million to 3 million square feet expected by the end of 2026. Active markets for Basis include Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Alabama, Massachusetts, Michigan and select urban markets nationwide.

In total, Basis Industrial’s sponsors have developed and managed more than 30 million square feet of real estate assets across self-storage, industrial, retail, office and residential. BaySpace serves as the property management arm of Basis Industrial.

The expanded leadership structure positions Basis Industrial to continue building on its national growth while maintaining a disciplined approach to acquisitions, operations and long-term value creation.
