At Basis Industrial, we are proud to celebrate our CEO and founder, Dan Weinstein, who has been named to Florida Trend’s prestigious 2025 Florida 500 list in the real estate category. This annual honor recognizes the state’s most influential business leaders who are driving Florida’s growth, innovation, and economic strength across key industries.

Weinstein’s inclusion highlights his vision and leadership in transforming Basis Industrial into one of the nation’s fastest-growing privately held real estate operators. Founded in 2021, Basis Industrial has built a portfolio of more than 6 million square feet of industrial and self-storage assets, with an additional 2 million to 3 million square feet projected by the end of 2025.

Under Weinstein’s leadership, Basis has completed several milestone acquisitions, including a $60 million portfolio of five Tampa-area business parks and Chancellor Square in Orlando, a 142,069-square-foot property purchased for $24 million, making Basis one of the largest landlords in Orlando Central Park. The company also launched and oversubscribed its fourth co-general partner investment vehicle, created to acquire industrial assets throughout Florida.

Weinstein’s approach to leadership is rooted in precision and purpose, a philosophy that began decades ago when he swept floors in his grandfather’s fur warehouse and learned the importance of “measure twice, cut once.” That principle continues to shape his methodical approach to deal-making and development today.

Beyond real estate, Weinstein is deeply committed to the community. He is an active supporter of Love Serving Autism, a nonprofit that provides specialized therapeutic racquet sports programs for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities.

This recognition from Florida Trend adds to a growing list of accolades for both Weinstein and Basis Industrial. Earlier this year, Weinstein was named to the South Florida Business Journal’s Power Leaders 250, while Basis ranked among the publication’s Fastest-Growing Companies Over $25 Million for the third consecutive year.

For Weinstein, being named to the Florida 500 represents more than a personal milestone. It reflects the collective effort of the Basis Industrial team and its mission to create long-term value for investors, tenants and the communities they serve.
